A flower shelf created using baltic birch plywood. Traditional joinery methods were the main focus of the design for this piece, no fasteners were used in this build; only dadoes, rabbets, wood glue, and friction fittings. Fitting for the more Zen aesthetic of the condominium, the veneer of the chosen material provides a minimalist feel and the 13 layers of plywood that makes up the core adds complexity to a relatively simple material.
Finished with Watco danish oil in semi-gloss.
